NECESSITY AND THE ACTUALITY OF THE REVOLUTION, CASE OF SLOVENIA AND BOSNIA
Lecture by Dimitar Anakiev
Factory "Rog", Ljubljana, April 9th, 2014, at 20:00 hours
The theoreticians of Neoliberalism were immediately trumpeted the "End of history" after the victory over Stalinism. Following Slovenian joining of the neoliberal formation of EU, Slovenian theoreticians of society found themselves at the forefront of recycling and composting of Marxism too. Recent mass rebellion in Slovenia (autumn 2012-spring 2013) and even more the success of workers' revolution in Bosnia (February 2014) in rapid mobilization of people and the destruction of all structures of government, again showed unbreakable power of the people. Revolution, as the culmination of a democratic process of social change, again showed its relevance and necessity. Ordinary man, whom they tried to remove from the historical scene, returned and showed his power again. A lecture about the necessity and actuality of the revolution will be given by Dimitar Anakiev, president of the Association of Erased Workers ((Združenja izbrisanih delavcev -ZID)), a group of people who are struggling against the neoliberal counterrevolution in Slovenia over 20 years.
